Pet owners can bring their own cameras or photos taken by the hospital will be sent by e-mail. There is no fee, but donations of money, food, blankets, etc. would be appreciated. A list of needed items is available at the hospital. All donations will go to a local animal shelter.
Puppies can play with each other while their human companions hear from veterinarians and puppy experts on the best ways to have a happy, healthy pet.
Dr. Billy Danowitz and Dr. Amy Nalven, two of the 10 veterinarians at the hospital, will discuss such topics as vaccination, nutrition, common health hazards, teeth care and more. Groomer Lois Rondeau will talk about skin and nail care. Other topics of the day are agility, obedience and therapy work.
The Monmouth County SPCA is offering New Beginnings holiday cards with a greeting wishing friends a "happy hawliday and a "purrfect new year" that are a "purrfect" gift for friends, family and pet lovers.

Rufus, the No. 4 ranked colored bull terrier, won Best in Show at the recent National Dog Show Presented by Purina at the Kennel Club of Philadelphia. Rufus is owned by Holmdel residents Barb and Tom Bishop.
Dogs and cats and rabbits, oh my! All are welcome at the hospital's Pictures with Santa 12:30 to 4 p.m. Dec. 10. The fee is $10 for the first photo and $5 for each additional picture. All proceeds will benefit local pet charities and shelters.
